1930 US Federal Census: Ruby was living with her family in Norwalk, Los
Angeles Co., California. She was working in the mail order section of Sears,
Roebuck Co. at the time.
1940 US Federal Census: Ruby and Charley were living in Norwalk, Los
Angeles Co., California. She was listed as a housemaid for a neighbor and he was
listed as a concrete finisher. No children were listed in this census.
It may be that her husband Charles Haven Williams was a descendant of George
Soule one of the Mayflower passengers who landed in Massachusetts in
November 1620. George was a signer of the Mayflower compact.
