Louis and Edith Barkus - 1920s:
Edith and Louis had only one child, Betty Lou, who was born in Malvern on 26 December 1923 in their small, two-bedroom brick cottage.

Malvern had a town baseball team, and three of the Barkus brothers , Louis , Harry, and George, were members of the team. The dates of Louis' playing days with the Malvern team are not known, but obviously this was before his infirmities caused him such grief and incapacity.
