Marriage: Charles Robert Garrett and Catherine McGuire
It is not known how or when Charles and Catherine met or even whether they knew each other before Charles’ service in the Civil War.
In any event Charles Robert married Catherine on 17 March 1867, Prairie Grove, Clarke Co., Iowa by minister James Benham. They had seven children, all of whom were born in Clarke Co., Iowa.
It is interesting to note that four of the seven children were born in September, two of whom were born on the same day. The remaining three children were born in either March or April.
